                                             Leslie Twohig

My name is Sandra Gunn, Founder of LESLIE'S WEEK.

Leslie Twohig, is the inspiration for LESLIE’S WEEK and all women who are told, "You have Stage 4 Breast Cancer". Leslie M. Twohig passed away on April 2, 2011 after succumbing to Inflammatory Triple Negative Breast Cancer that metastasized to her bones. LESLIE’S WEEK began on April 3, 2011 in honor of her life and memory and those of all Stage 4 Brerast Cancer women.

We send our nominated families on vacations away from cancer This is a time for them to create Memories that Outlast Cancer with their families. Our Cancer Institute Partners and website visitors nominate Stage 4 BC families for our 5 star accommodations.

Breast cancer does not discriminate. It impacts 1 in 8 American women in their lifetime. It respects no race, religion, or economic boundary. It is a predator that strikes wherever it has opportunity. Breast cancer is expensive. It empties bank accounts and savings; it takes away funds for education, vacations, new cars or homes. It emotionally drains a family. Husbands and children watch helplessly as the mother slowly dies. LESLIE’S WEEK gifts these families a place of peace, a place to rest, a place to Make Memories that Outlast Cancer.

On September 9, 2014 the IRS tax exempt division approved our 501 (c) (3) application and tax exempt status, which was submitted to them on February 21, 2014. LESLIE'S WEEK is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devices, transfers or gifts.
